MARITIME – Project Finance Manager
As a Project Finance Manager in this maritime company, you don’t work from the head office — instead, you’re on-site at the projects themselves. Sometimes in Europe, often further abroad. You’re responsible for the full financial follow-up of one or more offshore or dredging projects.
You’re part of an international pool of finance professionals, each supporting their own project. One month you might be in Egypt, the next in West Africa or Asia — wherever the next challenge takes you.
What you’ll do:
-
Manage the complete financial picture of your project: budgets, forecasting, analysis, and reporting.
-
Work closely with project managers, local teams, and external partners to keep everything financially on track.
-
Monitor contractual commitments, taxes, and risks.
-
Lead and coach the local project administration.
-
Report to the Area Controller in Belgium and to the Project Manager on site.
Profiel
You’re someone who isn’t afraid to take responsibility and enjoys being out in the field. You don’t mind spending periods abroad, as long as the project is engaging and you can make an impact.
We’re looking for someone who:
-
Holds a Master’s degree in Economics, Accountancy, or Finance.
-
Has at least 10 years of experience in finance or audit, including 5 years in a project-based environment.
-
Can work independently and make decisions with confidence.
-
Knows what it’s like to work in challenging conditions — and finds that stimulating.
-
Communicates fluently in English; knowledge of Dutch or other languages is a plus (not required).
Aanbod
You’ll become part of a dynamic international pool of Project Finance Managers. Each of them supports projects that quite literally change the world: building wind farms, creating new islands, restoring coastlines.
What you can expect:
-
A competitive salary with attractive expat benefits.
-
A rotation system (e.g., 2 months on site, 1 month home in Belgium).
-
A safe, well-organized work environment — you’re never “alone in the field.”
-
Opportunities to grow within finance or move toward area management.
-
The chance to contribute to projects with real impact — on people and the environment.
You're visiting from a foreign country.
